Urundei Foundation is an Argentinean organization formally founded in June 2008, in the city of Salta, to work in a collaborative way to support people, organizations and institutions to become aware and active in solving and acting in environmental issues.
Urundei's vision is to contribute to improve wellbeing of the environment and consequently of people by researching, planning, searching, and acting to share successful resource management experiences to help to understand the relation between environment and the life.
Urundei's mission is to achieve a collective awareness of the importance of the environment, biodiversity and sustainable development.
Urundei seeks to exchange information of real experiences in rural and urban areas which improve the general wellbeing. The aim is also to support local efforts by giving and exchanging technical tools needed to promote initiatives related with environment and biodiversity.
Urundei works in the Gran Chaco of South America as a regional area, ranging without limitations from the dry forested lowlands of the great Platte River Basin up to the Yungas, SubAndean Valleys, Puna and Patagonian ecosystems.
